Computer Programming Special Projects - Assignment #1

This assignment will involve the study of three topics:
- Combo Boxes
- Saving Retrieving a File
- Exceptions

I have provided 3 links for you to help you get started. Besides these links you can do your own internet searches on these topics as well as any book I have to help you learn these topics.

To assess your understanding of these topics you will complete the following programming project –

Create a GUI based entry window that has the following fields

1. First name
2. Last name
3. Age
4. Street Address
5. City
6. State
7. Month of Birth
8. Year of Birth
9. Gender

The First name, last name, Street Address, and City fields will simply be JTextfields.
The Age field will be a JTextField, however your program must include an exception if the user does not enter a number.
The State, Month of Birth, Year of Birth, and Gender will be JComboBoxs. The Year of Birth Combo Box will include the years 1980 – 2010

You must also include an exception such that if a field is left blank an exception is thrown requiring the user to enter a value in the missing field.

This will also include 4 JButtons: Quit, Clear, Save, Submit.

The Quit button will terminate the program.
The Clear button will clear all fields without adding any information to the database
The Save button will save the current values in the data base. When saving the information for all people in the data base array will saved in the project folder. You can save it as any type/format you wish: Excel, Word, Text, etc.
The Submit button will enter the values from each field into the database array and will clear all the fields so the user can enter another person.

Hi, don't just dump your homework here and expect others to do it for you, not
even if you want to pay for it. If you want paid work check out rentacoder.com.

Ask detailed questions, showing what you've already done; maybe include a bit
of relevant code and ask about the part that doesn't work as you expected it to
work, but please don't tell us that you're stuck and want to leave it to us; we won't
do it but we're willing to help you out with particular problems. Please also read
the forum guidelines (see the 'Help' link near the top right corner of this page).

kind regards,

Jos

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...
