Hi,
I want to make a scale on a graph, by telling asp to insert empty divs
of class tick, and the setting the style in css. I am trying to get a 3D
effect by using colored top and bottom borders on the divs, and setting
their height to 0. The code bellow show an example tick, and it all looks
beautiful in firefox, but in internet explorer, the height appears to be
ignored. Does anyone have any ideas?
Thanks,
Martin

I have compared, in ms, the time VB.NET and CFMX take to execute code that
is nearly exact in their respective languages. The tick count distributions
in VB.NET are very tight, ranging from 154 - 190 with no outliers. The CFMX
code is distributed in the range 356 - 950 and one outlier at 1356. Why is
the VB.NET code distributed very tightly against the mean vs. the CFMX code?
Thanks,
Brett

Hi
I have a bound gridview. I need to allow users to select multiple rows and
then press the process button to process multiple selected rows. For this I
want to use additional column of checkboxes (unbound?) which user can tick.
Is there an example of such a scenario somewhere that I can have a look at?
Thanks

So I have a motherboard with multiple CPU sockets. It seems that if I
create a StopWatch on one thread and then call the Elapsed member from
a different thread that sometimes I get a tick count that's a million
miles away.
My thinking is that I can subclass the StopWatch. Then when the
Elapsed member is called, I can invoke it on the thread that the
StopWatch class was created on. True? How?
Or is there an easy way that I could scan...

This is probably very simple but still beyond me.
I have a table that stores text in a number of different languages. Each entry has a unique ID number. Each language version of the same text shares the ID number.
I have a column of tick boxes that show where this text is used.
ie
1.0 English_text_record_1 tickcol1=y tickcol2=n tickcol3=y
1.0 French_text_record_1 tickcol1=y tickcol2=n tickcol3=y
1.0 Spanish_text_record_1...

Hi,
I'm basing a query on the variables used in a form. The database contains lots of problems, say with a computer and a tick box for the apropriate component like monitor, keyboard, mouse etc. and each has several eg problem 1 has a monitor and mouse problem
My form then has what to look for tick boxes (tri-state) for each of these. I want my query to include all monitor problems when that is ticked and all monitor and mouse problems...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

In this session, we are pleased to welcome a new presenter, Adolph Dupré who will be discussing some powerful techniques for using class modules.
He will explain when you may want to use classes instead of User Defined Types (UDT). For example, to manage the data in unbound forms.
