Retrive the xml string into a variable called say myXML.
After that you can do one of the following.

a)Save that string as an XML using FileWriter, then parse that xml file using JAXP.
b)Simply extract the fields you want from the xml string by searching through the tags of the xml and store the required fields in the database

Hi I am using the following SQL to retrieve a value in a list box using a unique ID held in the list box call cntID. The list box is used on an order form to list appointments that have been made for service staff. My problem is the SQL is not retrieving the value of the listbox. I have tested the SQL by entering a fixed value of a valid entry in the listbox and it works fine, but as soon as I replace the fixed value with...

I am wanting to capture the XML posted by an InfoPath form with .NET, but I cannot figure out how to capture the XML stream sent back by the InfoPath form. With Classic ASP, I could just create an MSXML object then load the XML with a simple objXML.Load(Request). This would give me the XML stream, which I could then manipulate. However, using System.Xml, this is not possible - not that I have found, anyway. The InfoPath documentation...

My application is using RegisterDeviceNotification() to detect attachment and removal of a USB HID-class device. The form is receiving WM_DEVICECHANGE messages with wParam set to DBT_DEVICEARRIVAL or DBT_DEVICEREMOVECOMPLETE. I want to identify the device that has arrived or been removed by examining the dbcc_name member of the DEV_BROADCAST_DEVICEINTERFACE structure.

Hello! We have written a GCryptoSvr.dll COM server in C++. Inside that resides WebClient COM component. WebClient CLSID is {8DC27D48-F94C-434B-A509-C3E1A3E75B9E}. When we are using that WebClient COM component from C++ code it works just fine. However when we try to use that same WebClient in the same machine with following C# code: using GCRYPTOSVRLib; WEBClient WC = new WEBClient();

I am using a Replace function to replace single quotes with double when submitting a text field in the database i.e. Replace (q, "'", "' ' ") which works fine. When I retrieve the field from the database which has apostrophe I am getting 'Object expected' error message. Is there a way to fix this? Thanks, Bhavna

Hi, I recently wrote an ASP.Net web application in VS2005 and published (using VS2005 Publish feature) it to a relatively clean machine with ASP.Net 2.0 and MDAC 2.8 installed on it. However, when I try to create my SQL connection in the code-behind, I get the following error. I tried to register the DLL using regsvr32 but that errored out saying, "dllregisterserver entry point was not found". Any ideas? Retrieving the COM class factory...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
