To control the devices or equipments from the remote place through a web-page. Here all the devices which are to be controlled are connected to the relays(acts as switches)on the webserver circuit board. The web-server circuit is connected to LAN or internet. The client or a person on the PC is also connected to same LAN or internet. By typing the IP-address of LAN on the web browser, the user gets a web-page on screen, this page contains all the information about the status of the devices( whether they are ON or OFF). On this page the user is provided with checkboxes to check or uncheck the boxes in order switch OFF or switch ON the devices.

We have a library written in Java that we need to port to .NET (and we need to maintain both versions of the library). I've done some preliminary research on approaches to this but none of them are satisfactory. Here's what I've found so far: - byte code conversion: converts Java classes to .NET assemblies. Looked at ikvm which is open source, doesn't look mature enough. Also requires runtime support which is a negative for us due to...

I am using a slightly outdated reference book on J2EE programming. It gives 2 methods of creating a database used in its casestudies. The first is an ANT script that gives the following output: D:\original\CaseStudy-2-5\CaseStudy\Day02\exercise>asant database Buildfile: build.xml env-user: prop-user: set-user:

Quick Intro: was thumbing through a book on Programming Windows in C# and was wondering if I shouldnt fork my developement: I've written a program in windows script, and now a more robust version in Java (using eclipse). I've hit the wall - in that the UI portions of eclipse are still manual - as VE (visual editor) is now 2 versions out of date (and I subsequently can't get it to work - where it used to on my code). So I picked up a...

Apologies if someone finds this OT I am looking for an open-source C++ implementation of Java API ---- something that does not require a Java run-time environment. So far the only thing that I have found is NewJ from pure-native.com. It looks good, but it is not open source. Can anyone provide some pointers? Zhang

I've been programming Python for a couple of years now. Now I'm looking to move on to either C++ or Java, but I'm not sure which. Which one do you think will be a better transition for a Python programmer? Which one will educate me the best?

I want to make a java TCP socket client to communicate with a TCP server socket on linux. Are there some sample C unix server and java client socket programs available? The Richard Stevens' "Unix network programming" book described a TCP server (tcpcliserv04.c) and client (tcpcli04.c). I compiled and executed them successfully as follows: $ tcpcliserv04 &

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers.
