Hi!
Do you know how to put a form's Access-Visual-Basic-code that will force
the form to be inserted, while the user has not type anything in the form,
without changing focus, selection, etc.?
Here is the story.
I have this structure:

Hi all,
I have a wxPython GUI consisting of a wxWindow -> wxPanel -> set of
widgets. I need to catch pressed keys no matter which widget has focus,
so I've attached an event handler to the panel but I can't seem to find
a way to do some kind of collective "sending through" of the key event
from all the widgets on the panel to that handler in case the panel
doesn't have focus. Is there some way to do this?
Thanks in advance!

I am looking for a way to force a Tkinter window into focus on a system
level. I know the force focus method should bring one window of my
application into focus, but it seems I need to have some part of my
application already in focus on a system level to make this work. If
for example I am entering text at the command line and call a
force_focus on my root window the call will not return till I click on
a window in my application. The...

Hey all, I have a NumericUpDown control on a Panel or potentially a
Form that have AutoScroll enabled.
When the NumericUpDown is active I would like the Form/Panel/whatever
not to scroll when I scroll the value in the NumericUpDown.
I can add an additional handler to the MouseWheel event on the
NumericUpDown, but how do I stop the Form/Panel/Whatever from scrolling
when the value is changing in the NumericUpDown?

I'm trying to gracefully intercept Control and Alt keys for mouse
events within a Panel. I realize that keyboard is not normally
relevant there, but in this case, I need to get Ctrl-LeftMouseButton,
etc.
This could be intercepted by the form that owns the panel, but that
does not seem very elegant. Are there any alternatives? I could use
another type of base control if necessary. I'm mostly painting
graphics.

Hi,
I have mutliple asp:Panel controls on a single page, each with a default
button defined (each default button resides within its respective asp:Panel).
All validation controls and buttons within each panel also have separate
ValidationGroups defined. When an asp:Textbox has focus in one of the Panels
and I press the enter key, my validation works great. If I press the enter
key a second time, the first button on the page's onClick...

Hi All!
I am developing an accessibility keyboard application with Visual Studio 2005 Professional Edition and with C#. The application is a keyboard with buttons that interacts with any application on windows, such as Word, Messenger, IExplorer... The keyboard is on the bottom of the desktop and the other application is on the top of the desktop.
The keyboard interacts with other applications using the SendKeys class. When I send...

How can I duplicate the behavior of the operating system shortcut keys
in my application? For example, my windows form has 5 controls
(textboxes), the operating system will pickup which control has the
focus and handle ctrl-c, ctrl-v, or any other shortcuts. I have the
same shortcuts working in my app, but have not determined how to find
out which control has focus. Would I set up a loop or code for each
control at form level. Any help...

I know that Panel (and most of it's derivitives) don't raise keyboard
events. I *really* need to catch keyboard events though so I've been
googling the topic and have found quite a few suggestions. The one
suggestion I've found that makes the most sense isn't working for me and
after this most recent failure I'm really at a loss! ;0)
I'm overriding WndProc and checking the Message.Msg property for the
WM_KEYUP message.
If anyone has...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

In this session, we are pleased to welcome a new presenter, Adolph Dupré who will be discussing some powerful techniques for using class modules.
He will explain when you may want to use classes instead of User Defined Types (UDT). For example, to manage the data in unbound forms.

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
