Problem Running a JAI Example

Hi All, I have installed JAI and compiled a Thresholding example from the
offical sun site. However when I come to run the application I get the
following error message. I thinking it is probably something to do with not
having the path set right or something. Any ideas? I have windows XP BTW.

Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoCla ssDefFoundError :
javax/media/jai/PlanarImage

I've just read Christoph Schittko's article on XmlSerializer: http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/library/en-us/dnxmlnet/html/trblshtxsd.asp . . . and very informative it is too. I, too, am getting nasty FileNotFound exceptions. I've read, and digested the article, and I think I've found a bug -- it's difficult to track,...

I have a problem and I've been using a cheezy work around and was wondering if anyone else out there has a better solution. The problem: Let's say I have a web application appA. Locally, I set it up as C:\domains\appA. Locally, my IIS root points to C:\domains. I don't point it to C:\domains\appA since if I have an appB under C:\domains I...

I wrote up a couple of simple SiteMap providers based on the MSDN documentation and examples, in particular the AccessSiteMapProvider example found at http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms178434.aspx I keep running into the same problem - the root node cannot be found. So I went back and tried the MSDN example exactly as it appears in...

Hello, all, I started out thinking my problems were elsewhere but as I have worked through this I have isolated my problem, currently, as a difference between MSDE and SQL Express 2005 (I'll just call it Express for simplicity). I have, to try to simplify things, put the exact same DB on two systems, one running MSDE and one running...

I have opened a PMR for this with IBM, and am not asking for advice from the DB2 DBA community. I am posting this as an FYI that DB2 Health Monitor, even at the latest version of DB2, still can cause huge problems with slow connect times and heavy resource locking in high concurrency / high transaction volume environments. I have an OLTP with...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not.
