OK, I had a problem that I've now fixed but I can't really understand
what was causing it in the first place. I have an intranet site that
uses basic authentication to allow users to view and update information
from an Oracle DB (ver 8.1.6 -- ancient, I know). Anyway, the site
worked fine as long as the machine accessing the ASP page was running
Win 2k but when an XP machine tried to view the page, the client got an
error:

Say i have a class car with properties: Color, Make, Model, Year, DriverID
And a Driver class with properties: DriverID, Name
The driverID PRIVATE property is the id of the driver from say a driver
table (t_driver). This has a PUBLIC property accessor called Driver
My understanding of OO using the composition model is that when you want to
load up a car class, you would access the DB to get Color, make, Model,
Year, DriverID and load...

I was told to post this in one of the dotnet groups. I hope this is the
correct one.
Several months ago, I took the official Microsoft 2733B course to upgrade my
skills from SQL 2000 to SQL 2005 and one of the neat things the course did
was show us how to create an SMO object which backs up a database at the
click of a button. Now that we're finally moving to SQL Server 2005 at work,
I went to whip up this little program following...

Hi,
I have VStudio2005, SQLServer 2005 dev edition loaded on a windowsXP Pro
machine.
I installed it ok. I just attempted to load the Personal Web Site Starter
Kit (I downloaded off Microsoft's site) to use with VStudio 2005 --
Installing it from the MS site failed without any error messages. When I
used VSTudio to open, it loaded ok, but when I went to view the
default.aspx page I got this error:

For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...
