<a> tag problem. Thank You.

Hello,

I have redefined the anchor styles in my page as follows:

a, a:link {color: #B33100; text-decoration: underline}
a:visited {color: #D53A00}
a:hover, a:active {background-color: #FDFFA8; color: #B33100; text-
decoration: none}

Then I have on my HTML code:
<a id="RecoverPassword" class="anchor" href="...">Recover Password
</a>

Class anchor is as follows:
.anchor {display: block}
a.anchor, a.anchor:link {border: none 0px white; background-color:
#26211C; color: #8B7667; font-family: verdana,arial,helvetica,sans-
serif; font-size: 11px; font-weight: bold; text-decoration: none}
a.anchor:visited {text-decoration: none}
a.anchor:hover, a.anchor:active {color: #AC7B39; text-decoration:
underline}

I have two problems:
1. The anchor style, i.e. colors, are only applied in Firefox. In IE I
see the default styles.
2. When I click the link I see an dotted outline around the link.
Similar to what I would see if I would click an image.

Any idea why?

Could someone, please, help me out?

Thank You,
Miguel
