overflow question

Hello,
I'm trying to make a text block that will scroll using the overflow CSS
element amid other text that wraps at the end of the table.

The following code in Firefox does what I'm trying to accomplish.
IE, however, seems to completely ignore the overflow element and runs
the text past even the boundaries of the browser window, causing the
entire contents of the table to extend to the same width as the
contents of the <divtag.

Is there something I can use that will cause both browsers to display
the way this code does in Firefox? I'm not against using table rows to
separate the three sections of text, but even this I was unable to get
to work as desired.

Thanks in advance...
