drempelsweg.nl en (in)accessibility

The site www.drempelsweg.nl came up in this group recently - this is the
site which teaches the Dutch accessibility on the principle of "don't do
as we do - do as we say". I took the trouble to contact them and, unlike
most sites I've tried contacting, they are actually talking to me. Not
surprisingly, it looks like they'll need a fair bit of gentle pushing in
the right direction. Perhaps if a couple of the other Dutch speakers
around here were also to (politely) point out some of the issues, we
might get somewhere.

Good grief, they have those one of those text size selection gizmos--and
they're not even using a fixed font size. And they've co-opted the
accelerator keys. I'm impressed.

The site has been discussed over in nl.internet.www.ontwerp more than
once, several people have sent emails and comments about its problems,
but the last thing I remember was that it didn't help, and they gave
up.

Thanks for that - that's a shame. There may possibly be some progress
however. Although the latest reply I got from them has some
clue-deficient areas, they do indicate they're looking at making some
changes. We'll see.

I was going to make some comment about it being a bit sad that the
beginners are pretending to be the experts, but the more I think about
it, the more I suspect that that is standard these days.

(Cue bad jokes about the blind leading the blind ...)
