MathML

Hi

I am tearing my hair out trying to figure out how to get MathML to
display properly in browsers. None of the tutorials that I have read,
including W3C, work at all. Can anyone point me to a document which
describes how to get it to display in IE/Mozilla?

cheers
MQ

You need to serve the document as application/xhtml+xml. For IE you also
need the MathPlayer plug-in.

I'm trying to use the MathML DTD and stylesheets, but get some problems with xmlns attributes. If I do something like <math xmlns="http://..."> .... </math> then xmllint and xalan in validating mode both complain that math doesn't have an xmlns attribute. If I leave out the attribute, then the Mathml stylesheet doesn't format the Mathml content using either

I'm trying to build some mathml for a paper. I've got the mathml2 dtd, and the style sheets also from the canonical website http://www.w3.org/Math/. But I'm having some trouble. I've input the example from page 90 of the mathml handbook, which is a simple bounded integral. The mathml is as follows, where I've substituted the numerical values for the named entities:- <?xml version="1.0" encoding="ISO-8859-1"?> <!DOCTYPE math SYSTEM...

I need an equivalent for the following: document.getElementById('equation').update(); from Mathplayer to use it in Mozilla based browser. When I change any text node, the page updates just fine in FireFox. However, if I change an entire math element, as in the following: eqElement = document.getElementById("equation");

Hi! I was looking for an implementation of a parser/model/serializer for Content MathML in Python. Does anyone know about something useful? I need to work with math expressions (arithmetic/bool), especially converting them between different representations (Python, SQL), determining dependencies on variables etc. And since my output format is Content MathML anyway, I wanted to ask if someone has implemented this before I start doing so.

I have some *performance* trouble reading MathML files in my application (in ASP.Net). - I have small MathML files (2-3k) as input - as (almost) all MathML files these use entities. I have no way to restrict the entities used. - to read an XML file entities into a document, you need to use a DTD, or you get an exception (any other way ?) - The MathML DTD is HUGE (2400+ Entities, ~300k of files), loading it in a document is a big CPU...

Hi, This is probably really simple, but I've only just been asked to look at this and I've spent a full day trying to get it to work, so any help will be very gratefully received! At present I have an HTML page which calls a series of javascript functions which output text into a browser. A client then asked if it was possible to output mathematical equations instead of just plain text! The solution I originally came up with was the...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
