For the location of an image in my CSS code, when I use (../img/h_img.jpg), double dots, the image will not display in the browser. But when I use url(./img/h_img.jpg), single dot, the image is visible.
Why does the image not display by the first code(double dots)? - .header_img {
-
width:895px;
-
height:255px;
-
background:url(../img/h_img.jpg)}
4 2748
The double dots means "the directory above the current location" whereas the single dot means "the current directory".
@drhowarddrfine
can u please explain in detail , i am not getting the mean of directory above the current location
Paths are described using the scheme starting with '/' which indicates the beginning point, or 'root', of the path to the directory or file you are looking for. A name following root is the name of the file or directory, so /myfile points to the file 'myfile' from the top.
If you are in a directory with the path /mydirectory/dir1/dir2 then '.' indicates the current directory (technically the node but let's not go there). While in dir2, if you were to indicate '..', that would mean to move up on level which would put you in dir1. You could even do ../.. which would move you up two levels and place your location in 'mydirectory' again. For that matter, just typing '/' puts you back to root.
its so simple
double codes means image you use place in different directory.and single codes means image place in same directory..

Our IT guys are on a vendetta against MS Access (and Lotus Notes but they've
won that fight). What I can't understand is, what's the problem? Why does
IT hate MS Access so much.
I have tried to find out who it is that actually wants to get rid of it, but
I can't find anyone who will admit to trying to get rid of it. Nevertheless,
I'm always hearing about how their "phasing it out" or "getting rid of it".
Because no-one owns up I can't...

Before I embark on a new long-term project I'd appreciate your advice on how to split up
long names. I would like to keep the standards for command names the same as that for
variable names. Looking at the examples below, which ones seem better?
Straight names
echoclient
lastcharoffset
helloworld
Internal underscores

I have been going through some of the tutorials on the internet
regarding coding styles in unix C programming. Most of the stuff I have
read do not prefer using global variables, But for multi-file programs
it is impossible not to have global variables.
I am trying to learn of the best way to check if I am mis-using global
variables. How do you guys know if there are to many global variables in
your programs? I am not trying to start a...

According to that naming convention, a parameter should be be named like

by the amount of code that goesinto creating an app. Is...

I'm trying to work out the relationship between href's on the above page

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:

Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
