Hi All,
I have an ASP.NET application to which I have implemented forms
authentication to handle security. It is a relatively straight forward
solution with all aspx pages residing in the root folder.
The issue I am experiencing is that when the authentication time out is
activated and the user is hence unauthenticated, the browser window is on
sometimes redirecting back to the login page. When the browser does or
doesn't redirect to...

Hi,
I am using a role-based Forms Authentication. I have several
directories that have different levels of authorization. When I try to
access another directory, the page bounce me back to the login page
everytime. After I re-login, I can access the page.
I can't figure out what happened. I saved the roles to the User so
when I access another page, they should able to see that before they
bounce me out.

Hi,
If I setup part of my web site to require users to login can I keep some
pages that are related only to that section of the site availble to all
users.
Example, I have a different section on my site where users must login, I
wish to have links on each login page to information pages that have the
information on how to register. I don't want to put these file in a
different folder instead i'd like to just let all users have access to...

<allow users="*" />
</authorization>
In the root folder where the other forms are located I have a Web.config

Hi,
Got an asp.net application and I use the "forms" authentication mode defined
in the web.config file.
Everything works fine.
But now I would like to add a second, different login page for the users
that go in a specific folder.
How can I do this?

but when the authentication expires, the login screen appears on both
frames.

Hello,
Sorry this is a bit wordy, but it's a pretty simple question...
I have a web site, http://domain/ which is a public site, part of which
(http://domain/a/) is protected by forms authentication.
I would like to configure it so that anyone not logged in, trying to
access the protected part will not be redirected to the login page, but

When I started a new ASP project I was eager to use the login facilities
offered in Framework 2.0/VS 2005.
I wanted:
- A custom principal that could hold my integer UserID from the database
- An easy way to classify different pages as either Admin, Member or Public,
where login is necessary for Admin and Member but not for Public. My idea was
to put the pages in different directories to easily keep my order.
- An easy menu system that...

I'm still having trouble creating a simple login page using the
asp:login
control. I followed some instructions in a WROX book, "Beginning
ASP.NET 2.0," and the instructions are very straight forward, but it
won't work for me. I've got a little better troubleshooting
information for everyone now. First, here's how I set this stuff up...
1. Created a new folder named "testlogin"
2. Turned that folder into an application using the...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
