Hi,
I'm designing a website for the Cornell Undergraduate Business Program
where the client wants faculty and student profiles to be interspersed
throught the site.
These profiles are contained in small boxes or tables with their bio or
a statement from the student, etc., etc.
The client wants an audio clip to play when the user clicks...

Hi,
I was wondering what would be the way to have the same content
rendered in a different way; say from a page with navigation bars
presenting the text in two columns to a "printable" one without having
to download the content again.
Is this possible in a more or less cross-browser compliant way?
Thnx

Hi,
not sure if this is the right group, if not, please post a followup to
the right group.
Basically, what I would like to do is to produce a documentation
cdrom, but which has a full text search cabability.
I looked for hours, butr the best thing I have come up with is the
windows .chm mechanism. This allows me to do a full text...

Hi...
We want to write an open source web based TEXT editor and would be
happy about any help ;-)
Please notice: We do NOT want to write a web based WEB editor, where
you can edit a web page without knowing HTML - we want to write a real

When bots scan the web for e-mail address to use for spam, do they look at
what the browser is displaying, or scan through the underlying HTML markup

At work, we have stopped displaying our webmaster e-mail on our pages and
created a form that uses cgi to process and send the message. Our...

Hello monsters of CSS. I was wondering if you could help me with a
layout problem.
Here's a test page that demonstrates the problem:

(I've given the DIVs height and color to make it obvious what contains
what. In the evenual working application they would be invisible.)

We are preparing a page with twelve (12) drop down
option/select menus, arranged vertically. It works,
and it is what the user needs.
The widths of the menu boxes are random now, but is
there is a way to control the WIDTH of the menu boxes,
so they would all be alike?
Thank you for any help Rich

You can deliver Cold Fusion query results to your users in a spreadsheet.
Control not only which columns go in the spreadsheet, but their order as
well.
Get all details (and download a fully-functional trial) from

About once a week, I post an FAQ pointer in this newsgroup

1. To keep regulars from having to post the standard answers to standard
questions again and again; if you have a standard question, you might
save yourself some time by first reading the available material for

Greetings.
Do any popular browsers correctly support <q>, at least for Western

document. Will any browsers render German-style quotes or French-style
guillemots for lang="de" and lang="fr", respectively?

I'd like to know if an HTML form page can be made to
output to a text file on the same computer.
The references that I've consulted only discuss the
GET and POST actions communicating with the
server, but I'd like to write to an existing file on the
browser's same machine.
TIA,
