Find TD width depending on the data in that TD

1 New Member
Hi,
There is an html table.
In that I am not defining any width for the TD's.
Depending on the data that is loaded dynamically into the TD,I need to find the width of the TD.
Could you tell me how can we do this?

If I tried to do this I would try javascript and look for
document.all.ce ll1.width
Does anyone know if this would work?

I use code like the following to retrieve fields from a form: recd = recd.append(string.ljust(form.getfirst("lname",' '),15)) recd.append(string.ljust(form.getfirst("fname",' '),15)) etc., etc. The intent is to finish by assigning the list to a string that I would write to disk: recstr = string.join(recd,'')

This should be relatively simple but I am unable to find an asp:button tag in a datalist footer. I have tried it numerous ways including the FindControl method from the many events that the DataList exposes and the result is always null (I've determined the OnItemDataBound event will not find the footer controls). I understand that I have to...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. ...
