Hi...
I apologise in advance for what must surely be a regular question to this
list.
I have an HTML page which is being controlled by either of two stylesheets,
both using absolute positioning. Under the control of one of the
stylesheets the page displays with no issues, but with the other selecting
text with a mouse in Internet...

Repeat to your amusement.

Writing a form, several questions have got a list of checkboxes, with
associated descriptions (mostly one word), all on a line.
Eg:
Describe yourself: Fat Hairy Ugly Wears glasses.
I want to prevent the description word(s) from being separated from
their box (represented here as ""). I want to insert some spacing
between items, so that...

far everything looks great except for this issue in Mac IE (at least
it's a browser that isn't going to be updated ever again...so maybe
people will stop using it... :)

Does anyone know about Konqueror rendering of floats?
On this page
http://home.tiscali.nl/~elizabeth/test-8.html
the bottom left image is in place when I have the window
narrowed till about 880 px wide, but as soon as I make it
wider, the picture jumps two thirds of it's width to the
right, covering text.
Anyone know how come, or what to...

Hello!
This simple code won't work with IE. Can somebody iluminate me: why?
Is it IE bug? I write it to gain possibility to move a layer (with
JavaScreipt), but only within a parent (not position:absolute) layer.
Or maybe there is a better way than a position:relative to do it?

I made a page that has some divs that I would like to line up next to each
other. I used percentage values to set their positions and sizes, but in IE6

line up. The page displays fine with Mozilla, and it also does not have this
problem if I use pixels to specify the...

Hi everyone!
I'm working on the following web site:
www.cool-walls.com
It's my first venture into building a page with css rather than tables.
I can get it to look ok on IE 6 on a PC, but I know it's not working
on NN 7 (PC) and IE or NN on the Mac. This is how it's supposed to look:

Hi,
I have set up a print-friendly stylesheet (print.css) for a website
which is built as a frameset (made up of a top and bottom frame). When
going to File/Print Preview in IE6, bevelled margins around the whole
page appear.
How do you remove these?
I know it has to be something to do with the interaction of the
frameset with the...

Hi!
I hit a bug in IE 6. I have nested divs which contain backgrounds. Some of
these backgrounds are positions at the bottom. Now it happens, that the
background is placed at the bottom in the div *following* the one it's
defined in. It seems IE 6 is taking the height of both divs together. If I
place the nested divs inside a table it...

I'm having a weird refresh problem with a background image in IE 5.x
for Windows.
The problem is summed up here with screen shots:
http://jimroyal.com/ie5_problem.html
The background image becomes jumbled when the page is first viewed or
refreshed. However, if you click any link, and then the Back button,
the page is rendered correctly.
