Koqueror and FF don't behave as expected under Linux

The web pages that I've been building under Windows and which validate
and display without error or problem with IE, MZ and FF are problematic
under Linux - Fedora Core 3.

I have a 512K ADSL connection and with FF the pages display promptly but
if I click a link MZ closes all open windows without warning (it
crashes.) With Koqueror the pages each take about 5 minutes to display
though typically a page is under 10K.

How do I start resolving the problem(s)?

I'm sorry but the work is published on a company Intranet (and I'm under
NDA). I'm a newbie with Linux and I was kind of hoping that maybe there
are common pitfalls that newbies fall into that could be pointed out.

All right. Come back when you're able to provide enough information to
make yourself helpable.

Is it only those pages, or are you having trouble with other sites as
well?

If it's only those pages, there's not much we can do without a URL.

Some of us have general knowledge that can be helpful to other people
having a general problem without our having to see their specific pages.
For example, if someone says, "My boxes overlap in IE5 but they work
fine in IE6 and Firefox", many of us can readily suggest that they look
into the IE5 box model bug and direct them to work-arounds that others
have come up with. If someone says, "I'm using max-width in CSS but IE
is ignoring it. Did I do something wrong?" I know, without looking at
any code, that the answer is "IE doesn't support max-width, period."
Granted, specific troubleshooting requires a look at the code, and many
people do ask questions that are clearly unsolvable without more
specific information, but this person made some clear general
observations about pages that work in *several* browsers under Windows
but not under Linux, and there's no reason in the world why he shouldn't
try to find out, as a first attempt to solve the problem, whether there
are some known general issues that create problems in Linux-based
browsers, that don't occur under Windows.

I have a small program (see below) that demonstrates an error I am getting when I build the program on a linux platform. I first initialize an unsigned char array (lines 16). I then initialize my array of my typedeffed structure (dataStruct) (lines 18-24). I use my initialized unsigned character array to initialize the unsigned character pointer member of the structure (line 21).

Hi, There are more than 1000 defined system calls in the Unix standard specification, however, a majority of them are optional and the availability of system calls are dependent on the OS implementation itself. The question I have is: How do you determine which system calls are available on any Unix/Linux machine?

C/C++ Programs and Debugging in Linux This tutorial will give you a basic idea how to debug a program in Linux using GDB. As you are aware Visual Studio doesn’t run on Linux so you have to use some of the tools provided on the command-line. If you hate the command line tools, get over it since you’re bound to be using them at some point in your career. All commands in Linux ARE case sensitive so capital letters are different from lowercase...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
