Development Vs. Vista

76 New Member
Place where I work at is starting to talk about going to Vista. We've got a couple copies that the fellows in the lab are tinkering with to see how it works on the test network.

Is anyone out there currently programming in a Vista environment?

I've heard some very scary things out of a few articles I've read. Things like how proprietary the OS can be and how unless you use the most expensive Ultimate versions that you can't load things into a virtual environment (which is what we do when testing out and dinkering with sharepoint crap).

I'm just a little concerned. I'm going to do more research into it, but if anyone has any first hand accounts on pros or cons of Vista as a developer I'd appreciate it.
