Forum post storage and retrieval

2
Hi guys, I'm currently developing a forum system as a personal project and I've been having some troubles coming up with a good way to display only the posts on a specific page. I was wondering if any of you can give me some good tips regarding efficient database setups for storing and retrieving post information, and if there are any surefire, fast queries that are common for this sort of thing.

In my example I guess let's say I have 30 posts and my forum allows 10 posts per page to be displayed.

If anyone can give me some help, or direct me to another source of information, it would certainly be greatly appreciated. Thanks a bunch! ;)
