hi guys,
I'm totally confused for my future...Right now I just started working as jr. php programmer. But I'm Confused about my future Coz here where I'm working is giving me very very less as compared to what a Jr. programmer should get.
I dont mind this coz i'm getting experience and this is my first job. but still I htink that a PHP programmer Does not have as good future as any other pro programmers have like java or .NET. So my Question is PHP programmer earns same as java developer or .net developer?
Since I'm from INDIA and here in Indian company PHP is not as adopted as other languages. Is there any one from India and can tell me If PHP programmer can have a bright future here in India?

Well i agree with you that PHP programmers dont have that good career prospects as compared to Java or C/C++ programmers.... .
Even salaries of .NET programmers is lesser than Java and C/C++ programmers....

Am from Africa and even here it's same. PHP is easy to learn so many programmers will be doing it and competition becomes high. Generally I have the tougher a language is to learn e.g c++ and java, the better the prospects. it's the rule of the jungle. If you have a choice and are willing, learn java or c++. Java is easier, though if you learn c++ java becomes a breeze. Just keep at it and do your best.

What's better about Ruby than Python? I'm sure there's something. What is it? This is not a troll. I'm language shopping and I want people's answers. I don't know beans about Ruby or have any preconceived ideas about it. I have noticed, however, that every programmer I talk to who's aware of Python is also talking about Ruby. So it seems that Ruby has the potential to compete with and displace Python. I'm curious on what basis it...

I am using: http://www.csscreator.com/version2/pagelayout.php and choose HTML 4.01 transitional as I think this means it will be supported by more browsers. However in Macromedia Dreamweaver 2004 MX it tells me that 'min-width' is not supported in IE 5.0-6. Is this true? Does anyone have or know a better css layout generator, that works great across browsers and looks good in the Macromedia Dreamweaver 2004 MX designer so 'what I see...

Hi! I noticed that many packages in the PyPI are using the PSF License. Does this have a special reason? Is this the common "standard" license for Python libraries? I'm just asking because I'll release some bigger pieces of Python code to the Open Source Community. In my many projects before I just used GPL or LGPL. This didn't have a special reason. They are just standard OS licenses. I could also have used the BSD License, but I...

Having developed with VB since 1992, I am now VERY interested in C#. I've written several applications with C# and I do enjoy the language. What C# Needs: There are a few things that I do believe MSFT should do to improve C#, however. I know that in the "Whidbey" release of VS.NET currently

Can the Choose function be used to set the criteria for a field in a query to either "Is Null" or "Is Not Null" based on the value of an option Group on a form? Such as: Choose(Forms!MyForm!MyOptionGroup,Is Null,Is Not Null) Where MyOptionGroup can have the value of 1 or 2. Thanks!

Hello, I've been reading MSDN to find out the answer for the question above, but I think I should ask in this newsgroup (since nearly everything I read in MSDN Seems to recommend me to move to .NET). Here's the scenario: We're creating a desktop application (that is, no client-server, no three-tier, no nothing, just a simple plain old desktop application).

The eternal question... What language should I dedicate the beginning/most of my career to? It seems pretty obvious that most programmers can code in more than one language, but they are more fluent in one than the other. I have some knowledge in VB .Net but I am just starting. This is a very general question so I’ll make it very specific, just like the way we like it. What I really need to know, from you guys, programmers for many...

Hi, Please see the following code and the output. It seems that if one of %'s oprand is unsigned, the other will also be converted to unsigned. There is a operator precedence table in wikipedia. I'm wondering what is the general rule in type conversions. Thanks, Peng

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
