From XML specification:
The
representation of an empty element is either a start-tag immediately
followed by an end-tag, or an empty-element tag.
(This means that <foo></foo> is equal to <foo/>)

Let's say, I have Table1 and Table2, both with the exactly same
structure and data in it, except that Table1.Field1 is empty in data
but Table2.Field1 have data in it.
How could I copy all the data from Table2.Field1 to Table1.Field1?
Is there any simpler way except looping through all the records to do
it?

The attached proposal is written primarily for Debian. Its
motivation is that the current package upgrade process is pretty flaky
and also that the current packaging does not really provide for multiple
simultaneous postmasters, which are wanted by people hosting several
database clusters.
I assume these proposals may also be of interest to Red Hat packagers.
I am copying it to the PostgreSQL list in case there are any

DoCmd.CopyObject copies data, but I only need structure.
I'm trying to clone several tables in my Access 2003 mdb. The goal is to
link to a series of Excel spreadsheets and then run various action queries
against the data in the linked tables (to massage and import it). Since I
can't run action queries against linked Excel tables, I need to create temp
tables that are clones of the required existing tables in the database then
append...

Hi out there,
I'm a first-time user of the "Copy ... From..." command, and I'm trying
to load a table from a text flat file.
http://www.postgresql.org/docs/7.4/static/sql-copy.html
I don't know if I'm using the command correctly.
Question: I run this command as a superuser, and the "copy from"
command is run like a SQL command on the command line, correct?

Hi Postgressers! I really like Postgres. Thanks for all your work on it. I
just have a problem with the way it's handling my flat file's timestamp
columns.
I have a flat file with a column with dates formatted like this:
2004-04-15 18:04:26 PM
It's a bit strange, I know, but I didn't create the file. My idea of
Postgres's proper behavior would be to load this date as a military time

I have a large amount of data that I copy in and out of Sybase very
often. Now I also want to copy this data in and out of postgres. I
have an existing script that creates the entire database(s) from scratch
in Sybase and then uses the Sybase bulk copy tool "bcp" to copy the data
in.
I already did a brute force port of this script to postgres once, but
I'm trying to do it more elegantly now that I know what issues I'm going
to run...

Hi,
I need to see the output of the program when no copy
constructor is used. Since by default, there is an implicit one, how
should i perform the override, so as to totally remove the copy
constructor functionality.
Consider the following code.

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
