Hello,
I hope somebody can help me with my problem. I am writing Zope python
scripts that will do parsing on text for dynamic webpages: I am getting
a text from an oracle database that contains different tags that have to
be converted to a HTML expression. E.g. "<pic#>" ( # is an integer
number) has to be converted to <img src="..."> where the image data
comes also from a database table.
Since strings are immutable, is there an...

I would like to use Python to parse a *python-like* data description
language. That is, it would have it's own keywords, but would have a
syntax like Python. For instance:
Ob1 ('A'):
Ob2 ('B'):
Ob3 ('D')
Ob3 ('E')
Ob2 ('C')

I decided to use SAX to parse my xml file.
But the parser crashes on:
File "/usr/lib/python2.3/site-packages/_xmlplus/sax/handler.py", line 38, in fatalError
raise exception
xml.sax._exceptions.SAXParseException: NCBI_Entrezgene.dtd:8:0: error in processing external entity reference
This is caused by:

Is it possible to write a function like the following:
string ReadURL(string URL)
{
....
}
The purpose is that it reads the URL (determined by the parameter) and
returns the string in which there is HTML-code, for example:

I would like to parse a couple of tables within an individual player's
SHTML page. For example, I would like to get the "Actual Pitching
Statistics" and the "Translated Pitching Statistics" portions of Babe
Ruth page (http://www.baseballprospectus.com/dt/ruthba01.shtml) and
store that info in a CSV file.
Also, I would like to do this for numerous players whose IDs I have
stored in a text file (e.g.: cobbty01, ruthba01, speaktr01, etc.)....

I've got a site I'm working on that works fine using the VS2005
internal browser. I need to test it from another machine on the
network, so I set up a new virtual directory in IIS (on Windows XP
SP2) and copied the site into it. I get the error:
XML Parsing Error: not well-formed
This happens on the Page directive at the top of the Default.aspx
page.

I understand that the web is full of ill-formed XHTML web pages but
this is Microsoft:
http://moneycentral.msn.com/companyreport?Symbol=BBBY
I can't validate it and xml.minidom.dom.parseString won't work on it.
If this was just some teenager's web site I'd move on. Is there any
hope avoiding regular expression hacks to extract the data from this
page?

Hi everyone,
I would like to implement a parser for a mini-language
and would appreciate some pointers. The type of
text I would like to parse is an extension of:
http://www.websequencediagrams.com/examples.html
For those that don't want to go to the link, consider
the following, *very* simplified, example:

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

In this session, we are pleased to welcome a new presenter, Adolph Dupré who will be discussing some powerful techniques for using class modules.
He will explain when you may want to use classes instead of User Defined Types (UDT). For example, to manage the data in unbound forms.
Adolph will...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
