I'm using ASP and I need to generate a ZIP file that contains a list of
files that I'm pulling from a database. I've determined WinZip's command
line parameters so that I can use it, the problem is I'm unsure how to run
WinZip on the server.
Set WshShell = Server.CreateObject("WScript.Shell")
WshShell.Run("c:\winzip.exe")
Assuming this would work, how do I get the process to terminate upon

I can't get it to create the zip file with a space in the file name.
Using:
RetValue = Shell("C:\winzip\wzzip.exe C:\MyFolder\My ZipFile.Zip
C:\MyOtherFolder\MyFile.mdb")
What is the syntax when you want a space in the zipfile file name?

No way this should be that difficult...
I have a program that does a file watch on a folder. When
a file is created in this folder, I simply want to zip it
up using WinZip (with the command line version of
WinZip). I have been unable to do so with any success. I
have been using DTE.ExecuteCommand to try and get this
working but the error "Command "wzzip.exe" is not valid."
keeps popping up.

I regularly use FTP to place Self Extracting Zip files on the web for
remote users to update their datafiles. Works very nicely.
I have automated the creation of the initial zip file ( update.zip ),
and can automate the FTP'ing of the SE zip file to the update site.
I have, as yet, been unable to find a way of automating the creation of

Hello. Ive got a VC++ program. Inside the program Ive got some code that
has a full file path:
C:\aa\bb\cc\dd\file.txt
One of the folders in that path (cc) is a shortcut pointing to some other
folder far away.
The program doesnt seem to follow the shortcut. Im used to Unix, where
shortcuts are indistinguishable from folders (or files) and you cannot have a

Has anyone else noticed this? In the Add dialogue, WinZip no longer allows you to follow a shortcut. Instead it simply selects the shortcut file itself to add to the archive. This is extremely frustrating.
