How can I use ADODB to return all tables in an access DB chosen by the
user?
I'm able so far to select the DB file and build up my connect string,
but I would like to offer a list of tables withing the DB and allow
the user to choose.
Is this possible using MS ActiveX Data Objects 2.0 Library or do I

Hi all,
I have this project to use the ADODB control to acces and manipulate the
Access DB. I amd the mistake of first doing this project with just the data
control. It worked fine with this control. I adjusted a few things and can
get the ADODB controlto move through the records of the DB, but my menu
controls do not work. I used them to look up certain records through
various criteria. When I click on the lookup, it brings up the...

I need to support a VB6 application that will be receiving
disconnected ADODB.Recordset from out DotNet solution. Our dotnet
solution deals with System.Data.DataTable. I need to populate a
disconnected ADODB.Recordset from System.Data.DataTable data. Below
is the source code I am implementing to test the process. I do not
get any error, that I can see. The problem I have is that at the end,
the recordset seems to be empty. Any...

I'm trying to grab the fieldnames and values from a recordset, but
I'm getting errors. I have an idea what the error might come from,
but I'm not sure how to correct it.
I'm connecting to an Access db which has the table 'Users', and I
want to grab the fieldnames and values without necessarily knowing
their numbers and formats. The msgboxes are there to illustrate the
error.
To run this, you need an Access db called Users.mdb in the...

All,
I have a ADODB.Recordset in my Access 2002 project. I've been able to successfully add fields to the record set. According the the MS Access help files, I now must update the recordset to get the field additions to "stick." For example, the code below shows how the Access help files say to append fields to a ADO recordset.
dim ADO_RS as ADODB.Recordset
set ADO_RS = (some other ADODB recordset)
ADO_RS.Close...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
