I had some code that worked fine for several weeks, and then yesterday
it stopped working. I'm not sure what I did. Nor can I make out why it
isn't working. I'm running a query that should return 3 items from the
database. I then get a count of the return, which correctly tells me
that I've got 3 items. I then go into a for loop which I expect...

Hello guys,
I would like to do something seemingly simple: find out if an
element in an array that is passed to my function exists.
I used to think I could just do: if (arr) ...
However, if this element's value happens to be 0, the conditional
will return false, even though the element actually exists.
Any ideas? Can you check if the...

First off, I apologize if this gets long. I'm simply trying to give you all
enough information to help me out. I'm writing (almost finished, actually),
my first VB.Net application. It's a forms application that is going to be
used to extract data from a legacy system (VSAM based mainframe file
structure), and output data in pipe-delimited...

I need to know that original number of rows that WOULD have been returned
by a SELECT statement if the LIMIT / OFFSET where not present in the
statement.
Is there a way to get this data from PG ?
SELECT
... ;
----> returns 100,000 rows

Okay here are four classes for a pocket pc program: Input, fpositional,
ComboBoxArray and TextBoxArray. The "input" class is the form. I use the
fpositional class to handle most of the functions for the objects on the
form, in addition the The objects are created in the fpositional class and
affixed to the Input form through the fpositional...

Hello,
I have a basic question. I have a DataTable of information without a
database store (it's only in memory). I am looking to somehow query the
DataTable to find out which row(s) satisfy certain criteria and then update
the data in those rows, all without any sort of database access (no
DataAdapters or anything). The table does not...

Does the .NET framework provide a class which will find the item in
the collection with a key which is closest ( greater than or equal,
less than or equal ) to the keys of the collection?
ex: collection keys are 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80
find key which is >= 35.
would return the 30 key.

I suspect the answer to this question is that it's impossible, but how
do I make the below code work, at the point where it breaks (marked
below). See error CS0411
This is the complete code. Copy and paste it into VS2008 for a
Windows Forms application.
With some effort I can do the job with a user defined function, but my
question is...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it. ...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in...
