Correct coding? myspace flash

1 New Member
I recently created my own div overlay layout for myspace, which included a menu i created in flash 8.

i uploaded my .swf to fileden CLICK HERE TO SEE and it works perfectly.

however, when i put it into my myspace profile, i can not click any of the buttons, when i hover over them, the cursor unexpectedly flickers.

this is the code i have been using, is there anything wrong with this?

<object type="applicati on/x-shockwave-flash" allowScriptAcce ss="never" allowNetworking ="internal" height="215" width="127" data="http://www.fileden.com/files/2007/3/6/856099/nav.swf">
<param name="allowScri ptAccess" value="never" />
<param name="allowNetw orking" value="internal " />
<param name="movie" value="http://www.fileden.com/files/2007/3/6/856099/myspace_navigat ion.swf" />
<param name="quality" value="high" />
<param name="menu" value="true" />
</object>

This is a Flash problem. I've moved it there for you. Hopefully a Flash expert will be able to help you.

The reason your flash links don't work is probably because of MySpace's Flash restrictions, which turn off all clickable links.

More here:

Your best bet is to use HTML for your "Add as Friend" type links.

This is driving me quite nuts. I have created several flash banners for a record label. They are meant to link to an artist splash page. Simple enough, right? Both Mac and PC users can click on these banners on my corporate client page, and anywhere else on the web for that matter, but the banners don't work for Mac users on Myspace - just Mac users. They can see the banner. the banner animates as it should, but clicking the banner produces...

Hi Folks, First off, Happy New year to all! This is a bit of a strange question, now I am a fairly accomplished .asp and .html web developer, and very computer literate, and I have recently decided to join the masses on myspace.com (boo hiss... I know!) and as nice and simple as it is, it is frustrating. Now I am wondering if there is anyone here that has, or knows of somewhere to get myspace templates that are not the silly automated...

Hi, I'm a junior developer in London for a company that provides charities with webpages and out users with fundraising tools so they can get the most out of using the web. Our current project is to build something with Flash that will pull data from a database - possibly ASP or RSS - to then use that data to show how much money people have donated for their charity and how much remains with regards to their target for charity (e.g. Cancer...

Hi, I am helping a musician friend of mine with his profile and I found a cool layout on Nas' MySpace page. I changed some things and re-did the graphics and I basically popped my Image URLS where the ones were in Nas' profile code. Something strange is happening tho. When I try to preview the layout, the entire profile is all covered up. My images show, but all the other elements have disappeared. I am not sure where in the CSS I...

I would like to place an animated BG on my MySpace page. An animated gif is horrendous on bandwidth (not to mention "hosting" size.) Is there any way to replace it with a FLASH img? (I saw a post from 2005 in the archives regarding this subject, but it was never resolved so i'm asking here...)

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
