Hi!
What is standard and direct way (within Oracle 9.2 stored procedures)
for
writing binary data from Oracle to external file on disk?
We have tried to use UTL_FILE package, but it operates on files
consisting out of "line" of size no more than 32767 bytes and adds new_line
symbol upon closing files.
Also we checked out interMedia types and packages for writing BLOB to
disk but now we get stuck with some strange error messages.

Hello,
I'm new to C++ development and I'm trying out figure out the cause of
an 'unresolved external symbol' error that I'm receiving when
compiling. Here is some history on what I'm doing:
I have an existing VC++ project that mostly just reads a SQL Server
database does some work on the data and insert the results into
another table. I have the need to incorproate some functionality from
a certain dll named cedb300.dll. cedb300.dll...

Hello All.
I have a program that downloads 'gigabytes' of Axis NetCam photos per day.
Right now, I set up the process to put the images into a queue, and every 30
or so seconds, 'pop' them from the queue and save them to disc. I save
them as individual files.
I think that I'd like to modify it to save into one file 100-200 images,
so that I don't have directories with 50,000-90,000 frames before handing
that off to a DivX Encoder.

Having trouble installing my 180 day Visual Studio 2005 trial disk.
The CD that was sent is actually a DVD not a CD. My home PC only has a CD
drive.
I attempted to install on an external drive using a work PC with a DVD drive
and then use the external drive from my home PC. Unfortunately the install
process puts files on the hard drive of the work PC as well as on the
external drive. So I can not run the software from my home PC using the...

Hi All,
Just wondering if anyone can tell me if it's possible to
programatically save Access2003 code (ie code behind forms, as well as
class modules) to external files?
I'd like to use versioning software to keep track of code changes, but
this would require being able to save the files easily to *.cls and
*.bas files.

Hi, I'm trying to find a method to save bmp, jpg and png files as ico
files, 16x16 size. I have managed to convert and save bmp files to
icon, but only in 32x32 size. I can't figure out how to save it in the
size: 16x16, and I hope someone could help me out a bit?
Code that saves from bmp to ico (32x32):
private void cmdConvert_Click(object sender, EventArgs e)
{
string source = @"d:\image.bmp";

I have seen similar questions posted here but no result for my situation so
here goes. I have a fairly new Maxtor OneTouch III Turbo Terabyte external
drive (raid) and a new Dell 690 Precision also raid.....on XP. The maxtor
was working fine and I was backing up data to it for a couple of months.
Then all of a sudden the computer did not recognize it. I tried device
manager, uninstalling & reinstalling driver, etc. I tried other USB...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
