db2licm -l

I am trying to run "db2licm -l" in the "Command Line Processor".

I type the following:

connect to dwctrldb

It connects to the database but typing the following "db2licm -l" returns me

db2 => db2licm -l
DB21034E The command was processed as an SQL statement because it was not a
valid Command Line Processor command. During SQL processing it returned:
SQL0104N An unexpected token "-l" was found following "db2licm ". Expected
tokens may include: "<space>". SQLSTATE=42601
I know i can use the License Center but i am trying to understand
what am i doing wrong? I am using 8.2 Express Edition.

Thank you

db2licm is a separate program - not a db2 command. You can run it from Windows
Command prompt and/or from DB2 Command Window.

However if you decided that you *must* run it from Db2 Command Processor - you
can run it as separate shell like this:

db2 => !db2licm -l

Note Exclamation Mark .
