I have installed db2 7.2 on redhat Linux 7.3 and on another machine
db2 8.1 on redhat linux 8 and both installation prompt for error when

Check to see whether the Java Development Kit (JDK) or JRE (Java runtime
version) was installed and where it was installed. If you already had JDK
installed then you will have to point to the new directory,
For example:
db2 update dbm cfg using JDK_PATH /opt/IBMJava2-14
If you are not executing the Control Center from an icon created during
installation, you need execute the following from the command line before
executing db2cc:
xhost + host_name
export DISPLAY=host_name:0
where host_name is the name of your server
