CPF5257

Can anyone help me about this:
Server AS/400.
Single processor.
V5.1
DB2/400.
I have physical file with over 10 000 000 records and
size over 3,5 GB. There is only about 5000 deleted records.
I use about 30 logical files for reading this data in some sort and/or
select.
After two years of everyday use I started to receive error CPF5257.
First on one file and after I deleted it and created it again, error
happened on other one.

Does anyone know reason for that.
Please respond.

Look on this message:

Message ID . . . . . . . . . : CPF5257
Message file . . . . . . . . : QCPFMSG
Library . . . . . . . . . : QSYS

Message . . . . : Failure for device or member &4 file &2 in library
&3.
Cause . . . . . : An error occurred during a read or write
operation. If
this is a display file, the display may not be usable.
Recovery . . . : See the previously listed messages, correct the
errors,
and try the request again. If the problem continues, report the
problem
(ANZPRB command).

Check WRKPRB or ANZPRB, look in joblog.
I think it may be hardware problem.

Can you post the *exact* text of the CPF5257 message from the job log of the
job where the error occurred? This would be helpful in diagnosing your
problem.

Also, specify what Cumulative PTF level that your system is on. It is very
possible that you need a PTF to fix this problem.

I did a search on Google for CPF5257 and found several entries for this
message id. A couple of them indicated that there might be a PTF needed.

Once again, what is the text of the CPF5257? I don't have a
reference handy, but it seems like that would be the place to start.
