db2 XML extender & Performance

Uma
HI.

I got db2 xml extender installed on windows NT machine, and it
contains db2 UDB7.2 fixpack10a . After installing XML Extender, I
tried to run a VB application using the database residing on this
server; I saw huge performance degradation???

Any thoughts??

Thanks

You'll have to provide more infomration on that to get help. What are
the characteristics of the applicatiop and the data is accesses? How
recently were statistics (runstats) updated? How well indexed is the
data? Are their referential constraints in the data?

Memory constraints due to your adding functionality, but not adding the
memory required to support it, leading to page-thashing?
