I am pretty new at ASP programming.
I am used to Compilers. assemblers and a lot of other systems that at least
give error numbers or some help in identifying and/or isolating syntax
errors, undefined or multiply defined variables, etc etc.
When I make an error in an ASP program I only get a message saying that the
program could not be executed.
Can anyone recommend some good debugging tools or maybe an ASP code checker.

Hi,
I have two db2 Version8.1 instances running on IBM AIX 5.2 platform.
Db2inst1 is migrated from V7.2 and db2inst2 is the instance to be created
while install db2 Version8.1. The db2 V7.2 DAS server was dropped after
migrated to V8.1.
New DAS server on V8.1 was created (using dascrt) successfully after db2
FixPak 4a was updated, then I try to create the tools catalog from db2inst2
by using following command:

New to DB2 on AIX. Is there a preferred location for the install of the
tools catalog database on DB2? I understand it's normally under the
instance 'umbrella' but is there any particular directory that is
preferable?
Thanks in advance.

I had stopped all database services before running the setup program
for upgrading from 7.2 to 8.1. During the installation process though,
I got a message to the effect saying the tools server could not be
installed because no start database command was issued. Does anyone
know how I can now install the tools server separately? Should I
simply re-install the DB2 8.1 and hope that this would install the
missing tools? Or can I re-install...

Running db2 8.1.1 on AIX 5.1
Recently created a Tools catalog and db on a test database server.
Since then a shell script that runs the offline backups has been
failing with the db2dasstm process maintaining a connection with the
target database.
The first time it happened I thought I had placed the tools catalog in
the existing target database so I dropped the tools db and recreated it

Does anyone know how to correctly setup the Administration DB for fail
over clustering on a MSCS server running DB2.
Problem I have when I follow IBM's docs is that I install the Tools
catalog on the first node but when I failover the cluster to the second
node - DB2's Task Center no longer works since the Tools Catalog still
points to the first node. Is there anyway to re-catalog the tools db so

Hi everyone,
Can anyone answers my questions. My server is AIX and is 5.2 and the
db2 udb of V 8.1 Fixpak 9.
What exactly is the tools catalog for?
How it is uaseful in performing automatic runstats and reorgs?
Can the tools catalog be centralized for a given server (AIX/LINUX)?
How can I know if there is a tools catalog existing for a given
database or an instance?

Hello,
We have seen up to 11 db2fm processes running at the same time, which
was consuming 100% of CPU. We could not run anything else on the
machine because of this. We have only one DB2 instance, so there should
be only one db2fm process. What could be causing so many db2fm
processes? Could this be because the fast growing of a table that has a
BLOB field? The field holds images, and each image is more than 1MB.
Now the table has...

Hi folks,
I installed DB2 V9.1 FP2 on RHEL AS V4 (DB2 Server) and Win XP SP2
(DB2 Client).
The strange thing, there were two database aliases TOOLS0 & TOOLS1 in
the DB2 Client that were mapping to the same remote tools catalog
database TOOLSDB in the DB2 Server after I created a new tools catalog
database by Control Center.

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

In this session, we are pleased to welcome a new presenter, Adolph Dupré who will be discussing some powerful techniques for using class modules.
He will explain when you may want to use classes instead of User Defined Types (UDT). For example, to manage the data in unbound forms.
Adolph will...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
