I was planning to give 704 Advanced DBA Certification.
Wanted to know is it really worth doing that certification , as how
much this certification is valued for?
I am into a organization where managers really don't know about the
level of 704 certification.
does anybody have any experience getting certified with 704 which
really helped them ?
Thx

If you already have a job, certification is usually not valued much
compared to the level of contribution that they can see you make to
the company in your job. It is more valuable when looking for a new
job.
Not many people reviewing resumes proabably have heard of the advanced
certification, but if you list both the DBA certification and the
Advanced DBA certification, then it might be more noticeable.

If you want to get more knowledge. I think pass 704 is necessary. This thread has been closed and replies have been disabled. Please start a new discussion. Similar topics |

My client decided that all project personnel must be certified in MySQL. It
was a contractual agreement between my client and his client. So:
- I went to www.vue.com and signed up for the CORE test in MySQL
- I took 160 hours to study using the "MySQL Certification Study Guide"
- Many questions were not even covered in the study guide
- I still managed to pass (it said so when I pressed "end exam")
- The place where I took the exam,...

MCSD certification - is it still necessary to land a job? ... or, is
it just a money-maker? Is it worth spending the money on the books and
the exam?

Hello everyone,
I am an european freelance engineer, fighting with computer science for too
many years to remember. However, when applying for new missions, I found
that experience is not always enough to convince.
Still humble and weak (and ignorant), I know I will get smart and powerful
(and the first to know) through a certification process (in C language, of
course)

I was looking for an MS NG where I could post this question but couldn't
find any, so here goes.
What's more valuable to companies, a Master of Comp. Engineering degree or a
company certification (Oracle, MS, etc..) ? I'm a Computer Engineering
graduate student (w/ a BS in Computer Science) and I was looking for salary
information and where the hot jobs are, and with every search I execute, I
kept getting pages on how MS certifications...

Hi,
I'm about to embark on .NET/C# certification (after 6 weeks intensive
training). I'm actually heading off to India as it's cheaper....sign of
the times. The goal is to compliment my existing c++/java skills and
to enhance my employability (I contract in finance at the moment...I
have work but am planning for the future). As of now I have zero
experience in C#/.NET (I've done some J2EE work in the past but that's
about it:( ).

Hi
I have good C++ knowledge, but would like to get perfect by study and then
get a certification. What is best (online/mail) certication? Where can I do
tests for it (online/mail)? What is the most respectable certification? Does
it have to be Microsoft certification? How about Visual C++, object oriented
programming certifications?
thanks

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
