As we know, due to C++'s "longest match" rule, the >> token causes
headaches when working with nested templates, e.g.
vector<vector<int>>
will not parse correctly without inserting a space between the two >
signs. Why have a >> token at all? Why not have > be the token, and
handle >> in the grammar as two > tokens?
This would permit code like 3 > > 1, but that seems harmless to me.

Sorry for the lame title, but it's hard to condense what I'm about to
say... Here's my situation (my first real C++ situation, yay!).
Currently we have a MyTCPThread (don't let the name scare you, this
isn't OT) that has a socket member object that has methods Send() and
GetLine() for sending and receiving data. I want to subclass
MyTCPThread so I can use << and >> as wrappers for Send() and
GetLine() (Send() is my primary concern at the...

I tried the link: http://support.microsoft.com/?id=193128
to prompt the ODBC Data Source dialog box, but the syntax
".Properties("Prompt") = adPromptAlways" rendered an error stating
that it is only a "READONLY" property.
Any clues on how to prompt the ODBC Data source dialog box and return
the connection string after the user has selected the desired DSN?
Thanks,
Henry :)

Been using the ODBC module for Python 2.1 (Win32) and had another
question. When I return data from date columns, it's in a strange
object form, e.g. <something or other> (don't have the output in front
of me>.
What's an easy way to convert date objects into a human-readable
string? I'm using this module to extract data from an Oracle database,
then converting it to a flat-file for import into an old flat-file
database on a mainframe. I...

Hello All,
Is there any way to close an ODBC connection via DSN without completely
closing the Access front-end?
I'm doing some testing with using Access as a front-end to Oracle 10g
Express edition. When the user ID and password is entered on a form and
after a successful connection it seems Access doesn't change the
connection. Even if I enter an invalid user ID and/or password the
connection continues to work.

Hi,
I have a query.
All html tags start with < and end with >. Suppose i want to display either '<' or '>' or say some text like '<Company>' in html how do i do it?
One method is to use <, > ,<Company> to display '<', '>' and '<Company>' respectively.
But is there any freeware code available which could implement the above functionality without having to use >,< and such stuff???

I want to start a map with keys but an empty vector<string>. Not sure
what the syntax is here.
Something like:
map<string, vector<string MapVector;
MapVector.insert(make_pair("string1", new vector<string>));
MapVector.insert(make_pair("string2", new vector<string>));
MapVector.insert(make_pair("string3", new vector<string>));

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
