Hi,
Is it possible to capture the identity of the user in, for example, a
trigger? What I would like to do is identify, at the server, who is
making changes to a given table.
Thanks!

Sure,
use the USER special register.
.....insert into audit_table (user_id) values (user)

Besides the USER special register, you can use SQLID special register
available in DB2 for z/OS This thread has been closed and replies have been disabled. Please start a new discussion. Similar topics |

I have implemented role-based security within my ASP.Net application.
However, it seems the role is not passed to the authentication ticket I
create.
I want to use it to display/hide some content based on the user's role. I
wrote this to do it:
if (HttpContext.Current.User.Identity.IsAuthenticated)
{
plLoggedIn.Visible = true;

I am writing a webapp in which a user is required to enter a login id and
password on a login form. I have forms authenticaion coded in my web.config.
Once the user is logged in, I want to use the login id in other forms of the
app. I will eventually save a record to a SQL database, and I want the login
id to be automatically entered in a field on a form other than the login
page. Help.

Hello
On our asp.net 2.0 website we impersonate every request to the identity of
the user logged in. This works this way:
1. user logs in, providing username, password
2. user is authenticated against an active directory and the windows
identity is retrieved (and stored in the session!!)
3. user is impersonated using the windows identity (thread is now
running under the identity of the user)

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
