Hi,
I was wondering what would be the most elegant way for creating a Python class
wrapper for a command line utility, which takes three types of arguments:
1. options with values (--foo=bar)
2. boolean options (--squibble)
3. data lines (MUNGE:x:y:z:frob)

I have already written a program that has a user interface, but I would like
to add some command line interface too. So if the user run it like:
program.exe paramater1
The program do something, but If not, the program normally run with windows

I tried Sub Main(args ... ) but I don't know how to connect it together.

I'm trying to pass a filename, obtained with using the fileName property
from the OpenFileDialog, as a application parameter in
Process.StartInfo.Arguments and run a MFC/C++ application using the Start
method.
When I hardcode the application parameter such as "/name=c:\\myFile.txt" all
is well in the C++ application.
When I use the fileName property to build the parameter, the string becomes
@"/name=c:\myFile.txt" which makes the C++...

I would like to set command line arguments to a service at install time. I
need to do this because I need to get information from different registry
locations depending on my command line argument. I have to do it this way as
the consumer of the service should not be able to change the argument -
except by uninstalling and reinstalling the service.
I created the service and the service itself works great. However, when I
try to install...

I am current writing a console program that takes two file paths as command
line input. I get the command line input using the following code:
parameter = Split(Command())
input = parameter(0)
output = parameter(1)
Unforunately this method does not handle embedded spaces in the file paths,
for example C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator. Is there a simple way
to handle this? From my command prompt experience I know that paths...

I'm new to this and was wondering what the options are for interpreting the
command line using a CLI program. Specifically methods for interpreting the
parameters passed to the program on the command line.
I noticed that visual studio adds the following for you when creating a new
CLI program:
void main(string args)
{
}

Here's my new project: I want to write a little script that I can type
at the terminal like this:
$ scriptname package1
where scriptname is my module name and any subsequent arguments are the
names of Linux packages to install. Running the script as above will
create this line:
sudo aptitude install package1 package2 ...

Hello:
I am building a console application and I am having an issue with the
command line arguments. A couple of my arguments are paths and they are
usually enclosed in double quotes. If one of the paths ends up in "\", it
causes the closing double quote to be ignored and the argument gets
concatenated with all the subsequent arguments until another double quote is
found or until the end of the string.
Example:

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
