Hello,
I'm using the mx.ODBC.Windows package in order to read/write a MSAccess
database. Everything works fine apart from the DATE format handling. I'm
using the default "datetimeformat" (i.e. DATETIME_DATETIMEFORMAT) as
suggested. The date columns in the MSAccess database have "Short Date"
format.
When I read a DATE item everything works fine, like:

Hi,
I'm running MySQL 4.0.13, connecting from PowerBuilder 9 using ODCB
Connector 3.51.
I'm facing a problem where whenever I issue a SELECT COUNT(*) statement
from PowerBuilder, I always get SQL syntax error back from MySQL. (Refer
to ODBC Trace I captured below).
metrohouse af8-b94 ENTER SQLExecDirect
HSTMT 014D2360
UCHAR * 0x020A0EA2 "select count ( *) from code

I am using ODBC 4.51 and mySQL 4.0.1-NT. I have an app that is written in
vb6 with msAccess 2000 that was converted to mySQL. Everything is working
great except for one thing.
I have a grid of information (using TrueGrid v7) and I need the grid to
update with the newest data.
In msAccess (ADO) I used the adUseServer Cursor / Dynamic Recordset and then
all I had to do was do a tdbgrid1.refresh to get the latest data.
Everything was...

Hallo C# folks,
Somebody know how to create a ODBC DSN dynamically in c# program.
Also interesting for me would be the connectionstring for an Access
Database.
Thinks a lot

I am aware of the 'hack the registry' approach. This is just not a safe way to accomplish this on a user's PC. I need to do this the right way. Is there anyone -perhaps from Microsoft - out there who can assist me on this?

An error "ODBC connection to failed"
is raised when I am trying to get data from a table in
Microsoft Access (97, or 2000) which is actually a linked
table to another table in SQL Server 7 . The exception is
raised from a Web .Net app while exactly the same code
works fine in Windows .Net app. That makes me thinking the
issue somehow is related to security context. Anyway I do
not know how to solve the problem, and any help is...

I am trying to look up data on about 1000 records from a 6 million
record view on a DB2 database using msaccess.
The 6 million record DB2 view is connected through a linked ODBC table
(table A), and the 1000 primary key numbers I want are in a local
msaccess table (table B).
The most obvious solution is to join table A and B, but this is
excruciatingly slow performance-wise.

We would like to create an MsAccess.Mdb (or SBF or Sequel database) in office 2000 to obtain individual table details from Accpac Plus in Dos (an accounting program)?
This Access data will be used for viewing and printing and not for accounting purposes.
Can we receive any ideas or a sample database of how to do this?
Thank you

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
