I want to debug my application and for that I use the step into debug command
button.
When I click on the step into command the next step ist executed. The
executed step raises some events.
Now I want to step into the EventHandlers of the raised events without
setting a breakpoint.
How can this be done?

I built small C# Web and Web Service applications in a
training class last week. The applications worked in the
class, but when I tried to run them again over the
weekend, they both bombed. Instead of getting my Web
page, or the Web Service page, I get a page full of error
text (below).
I am hoping the anwser will be obvious to someone.
I've tried a few things to address the problem, including

under ASP.NET, single stepping in debug mode appears not
to stop within event procedures. i.e. 1) Create web page
with submit button and event procedure for the click
event in the code behind page, 2) Breakpoint in the
Page_Load, 3) debug the web page and click the submit
button, 4) "step into" under debug several times, 5) The
debugger does not stop at any of the statements in the
click event handler. A breakpoint is needed in each...

I posted this in the C# language group, then thought it
might be more appropriate in this group. I would not
cross-post except I want the answer so badly.

I need to know what happens after Page_load has finished so I put a
breakpoint at the last statement. However after stepping into after this
last statement, the app continues running without the debugger. Why can't I
single step until the screen has fully rendered?

A surprising, and unexplained behavior was seen from a RELEASE build of
a VB application (essentially a console app). It processes thousands of
pages of text, and occasionally drops the first character of the first
line of the page. I really felt this was likely my own bug. In a DEBUG
build now I captured data from the page and wrote the result for each
page to the debug window. The result was consistent with the release
build, and...

I have three stored procedures that need to run nightly in SQL 7. The three
procedures are not related; but to keep the procedures from running at the
same time, I placed them as three steps of a single job. The first two steps
are set to "Goto next step" on success; the last step is set to "Quit with
success."
The job runs every night. However, only the first step/procedure is
executed. Also, the first step has a green flag next to its...

Hi,
can anyone help me on how to develop a program in c++ which does single step
execution using a callback between the asm commands? I need something like
debuggers do - a callback function should be called after each command.
I think the resulting code could be fairly small and look somehow like this:
static int numCommands = 0; // Var which stores the number of commands

ONU (Optical Network Unit) is one of the key components for providing high-speed Internet services. Its primary function is to act as an endpoint device located at the user's premises. However, people are often confused as to whether an ONU can Work As a Router. In this blog post, we’ll explore What is ONU, What Is Router, ONU & Router’s main usage, and What is the difference between ONU and Router. Let’s take a closer look !

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

The next Access Europe User Group meeting will be on Wednesday 1 May 2024 starting at 18:00 UK time (6PM UTC+1) and finishing by 19:30 (7.30PM).
In this session, we are pleased to welcome a new presenter, Adolph Dupré who will be discussing some powerful techniques for using class modules.
He will explain when you may want to use classes instead of User Defined Types (UDT). For example, to manage the data in unbound forms.
Adolph will...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
