Hi,
We are creating an online help desk package for our staff intranet site.
We would like to have a popup message (like you get when you print to a
network printer) sent to the IT support staff when a user submits a new help
desk problem. can this be done with ASP.net and if so could somebody show me
a small sample of how to do it.

Hi,
Here is my client/server scenario:
Step1: Client connects to server and sends data sucessfully (using
Socket.Send()).
Step2: Server gracefully exists (calls Socket.Shutdown() and
Socket.Close()). I see the server connection status go from ESTABLISHED to
FIN_WAIT2, the client connection go from ESTABLISHED to WAIT_CLOSE.
Step3: client.Send() succeeds and return the number of bytes sent (over the
closed connection!)

someone know if I can use the IAsyncResult.IsCompleted Property of
IAsyncResult that return from Socket.Beginxxx methods to determine if the
Endxxx method already called perior or not ?
I have methods that return the IAsyncResult after I called begin... (connect
for example)
and I want to know if I should call the EndConnect or not outside the
method.

Hi all:
I am trying to write some code to send an email from an Assembly file, and
found some examples on MSDN. However when I run the program (I am using a
console app for testing), the email does not send. I do not get an error,
but nothing gets sent. The code is pasted below, any and all help is greatly
appreciated.
I have changed the "to" address and the password for "no spam" reasons. :)

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
