Helpful folks,
I have recently migrated our test server, which runs Win NT 4, from
V7.2 FP11 to V8.1.3. Just about everything works wondefully, except I
am having major problems getting the previously defined federated
servers/nicknames to work. But I will start a different thread about
that problem. I thought I'd ask about the less critical problem first.

I want to have a script that checks that my databases are up and
running. I just want the scrip to connect to several databases and
check the count of a certain table. I want this script to run every 10
minutes. I know that every night I am taking the database down for
backup and they won't be available and the script will fail.
I have been looking into the systools tables to see what changes when
you make enable/disable a script but...

i get this error SQL30020N when selecting data from a table . I
altered this table earlier today when i do it a select * from the table
query runs OK, but when i join this table with 10 other tables (in a
scheduled job) i get this error. The job has been running fine untill
we added this new column, it runs fine if i don't include this column.
The new column added is a date column with a default value.Any help
greatly appreciated

The problem
I'm using the .NET GridView and FormView objects for the first time and
im getting the error "An OleDbParameter with ParameterName '@ID' is not
contained by this OleDbParameterCollection" whenI try to write a new record.
Delete and Modify work fine its just the add record function causes the
error.

Hi all.
I've installed Bloodshed Dev-C++ on a Windows 2000 SP4 machine. I'm using
MinGW 3.4.2.
I'd like to temporarily disable standard functions to write to stderr, i.e.
for instance redirect stderr to a temporary file (or /dev/null but is there
an equivalent under Windows? Is it "nul:") and then to *restore* the
default stderr so that standard library functions that write to stderr
produce output again.

I've moved code from a stage machine to the production machine, exact same
code works fine on the stage machine, they are both windows 2003 servers,
I'm getting a "Cannot generate SSPI context" error, there are other sites on
this server that access the same database. IIS is the same, permissions to
the database are correct.
Any suggestions?
