hi All,

I am writing a java application which queries DB2. I need SQL queries
for following :

1. Query to check whether, the attributes for LOB columns like BLOB and
CLOB is "LOGGED" or not?

2. Query for checking if tables are created under table space of
pagesize 32K or not?

This is really urgent and important..

Please help me..

Homework or other exercise?

Have a look at the DB2 catalog views, namely SYSCAT.COLUMNS for your 1st
task and SYSCAT.TABLES and SYSCAT.TABLESPA CES for the 2nd.

The manual can be found here:

Not a homework.. :)

New to DB2 area.. I tried with SYSCOLUMNS table but failed.

But SYSCAT.COLUMNS does not show if "LOGGED" is an attribute or not of
the specified column

ooops sorry for that.. :)

it does solve my issues.. & a lot other too..

See, we were trying to get database metadata using
connection.getm etadata() method.

Strangely, this is not a very stable method and fails intermittently
for DB2 only. (my aplication supports - db2, oracle, sql server). I
never looked/tried for getting this data using alternate methods for
DB2.

I learned MySQL last year without putting it into action; that is why I face trouble in formulating my queries. Were it a test, then you would have passed it, because your queries did help me solve my problem. I'll turn to MySQL doc after getting through this pressing project. Thanks a lot Roger! I changed from Access97 to AccessXP and I have immense performance problems. Details: - Access XP MDB with Jet 4.0 ( no ADP-Project ) - Linked Tables to SQL-Server 2000 over ODBC I used the SQL Profile to watch the T-SQL-Command which Access ( who creates the commands?) creates and noticed:

Hello I already initiated a thread with the same name on 22/03/2004. Thank you everyone who answered me. I wanted to link to that thread, but somehow there was no "Post follow on article" link(?). Sorry for repetition, but the story has developed a bit. We have an Access 2000 database application - reports distributor. Reports are created by developers, then reports and queries are copied into a database (Access 2000 also) on network. It...

I want to Store the String value with Single Quotes in the Field of Database where if i try to Store the String value with Single Quotes (as it is) then it is throwing the error as SQL String Truncated. so we need a solution to store and retrieve user Entered value along with single quotes into the Database. i am using the String variable to frame the Qry(that is then passed to Database for execution) which is as follows

Hi all, I've been working on a listing problem and I can't figure out how to work it out. I have looked far and wide on the web to find answers, but I'd like other peoples input on my project in the whole. I really need MySQL wizz to give me a hand (and maybe refer me to books to get me to the wizz level myself). First off, english is a second language to me and sometimes my sentences might be a little awkward. Please forgive me. Mon...

Rather than using the Access design view change the view to SQL. I am going to attempt to outline the general syntax used for SQL queries in Access. Angle brackets <> are used in place of some syntax elements you must supply. The description of these elements will be in the contained in the angle brackets. Square brackets are used to show which parts are optional. Basic SELECT query SELECT <field list> FROM <table/query name(s)>

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
