db2syscs.exe CPU usage 100% & db2empfca failing

Hi all,

I am using win2K db2 8.1 fixpak 2.

lately db2syscs.exe started using 100% CPU. This will be the load on
the DB. An application will connect to the machine every 10minutes and
do few selects & inserts, updates. There is no major activity.

db2dart didn't report any error on the DB. I tried increasing the
Bufferpool but no luck. I tried configuring the params with
autoconfigure too.

Since all the tablespaces are SMS i tried to enable multipage file, it
failed with the following error in the db2diag.log

I am so stuck with this.

Thanks in advance for your help

I'd like to keep at least 50% of the cpu free while doing bz2 file compression. Currently, bz2 compression takes between 80 & 100 percent of the cpu and the Windows GUI becomes almost useless. How can I lower the strain on the cpu and still do compression? I'm willing for the compression process to take longer. Thanks, Brad
