use import utility when the target table does not exist

I created a file called data.del using export like this:
export to data.del of del select * from sy9.c001

Now, I want to import this data to a different database into a different
table. This table does not already exists in the database. For example, I
tried this:

import from data.del of del insert into c001prod

When I do this, I get the error that table does not exist. How do I instruct
it to create the table and then import the data?

The only data format that can create the table as part of the IMPORT is IXF.

Hello. Sorry for crossposting, but i didn't have a better idea as to where to post the question. I'm using certificates to sign and encrypt SOAP messages, using WSE in .Net. I want to do the following: 1) Generate a certificate to the system store. 2) Export the certificate from 1) to a file with only the public key, and then import the file as a certificate into the system store, but on another computer. 3) Export the certificate from...

Hello people! I have a table with more than 30 million rows,a lot of columns and indexes. We need to change a column which is dec(15,2) and nullable to have a default value of zero. As I know you cannot alter a column unless it is varchar. I was thinking to export the whole table in ixf format, create the new table with the new definition and then import with insert into. Or rename the original table, create a new one and insert into new...

Hi Before I start coding I need to be sure that nobody else has not done it yet and that I can use it. I need an import utility which import data from Excel to a database or some object in .NET. The data in Excel is not in structured columns but can exist everywhere in the workbook. For example if I am supposed to import a person and all his/her cars which exist in a workbook I want to be able to create an import protocol and specify...

Recently I became interested, - Are the data, bulk loaded in the table with LOAD utility, consume the same disk space as loaded with IMPORT utility? The answer turned out to be NOT ! Here is a nutshell description of the test. The testing was done at "DB2/LINUX 8.2.3". Tables for tests: F4106 has 5203 rows, 32 columns. F42199 has 1399252 rows, 245 columns.

Hi! When I'm using IMPORT with INSERT_UPDATE I sometimes get SQL0100W No row was found for FETCH, UPDATE or DELETE; or the result of a query is an empty table. I'm not sure why this happens. The problem is that I get rejected rows because of this. Best regards,

I have a table which is replicated for after images only. I tried to do an import using the replace option into the source table with data. For some of the rows, they were not in the import file, so were replaced in the master table as a result of the import. For the replica database table, the "deleted" rows were not removed; they still exist, along with all the new/updated records from the import. Is this a restriction of DProp? ...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
