Error SQL0035N when creating stored procedure

DB2 UDB 8.1 on Red Hat Linux 8:

Just installed two Linux machines with UDB 8.1. When creating stored
procedure, like "create procedure p1() begin end", got error like:
SQL0035N The file "P4265487.m sg" cannot be opened.

Checked /home/db2inst1/sqllib/function/routine, one machine has no
sqlproc subfolder there; another has sqlproc/TEST/DB2INST1/tmp, but
only Pxxxxxxx.sqc files, couldn't find Pxxxxxxx.msg files.

Could you tell what's wrong here?

Thanks.

OK, i'm trying to do some error checking on stored procedures and am following the advise in Erland Sommarskog's 'Implementing Error Handling with Stored Procedures' document. Can anybody help with my stored procedures and why it keeps erroring at the '-- Create new Address Detail stage'? The errorCode value that is being return in my web app is 0, so i'm not even sure why it's even raising the error!! Rather than executing the INSERT...

I've written several Java stored procedures now (DB2 V7.2) and I'd like to write down a few "best practices" for reference so that I will have them handy for future development. Would the experts here agree with the following? Would they add any other points? 1. If the shop standard calls for logging of application errors, a stored procedure should log any error that it encounters immediately upon detecting it and then return to the...

Hi everyone, first time here, so I'm sorry if this has been covered already ages ago. :( I am trying to learn T-SQL and Stored Procedures and bought the book on these topics by Djan Sunderic, Publisher McGraw Hill/Osborne. I'm already stuck on my first Stored Procedure and getting error messages that I cannot understand. I've already tried Google and Microsoft online to no avail. I do have the .NET Framework on my system and use

I have a very very annoying problem. I want to create a stored procedure, that creates a table and does various things with it. Before creating a stored procedure I check if the table is there. If it is, I first drop it, and then recreate it. However when I try to create such stored procedure DB2 complains if the table already exists. The stupid thing does not realise that I do the check in the code. Is there anyway to ignore such errors from...

On a SQL Server 2000 db I would like to setup a stored procedure that accesses couple tables and runs the extended stored procedure xp..cmdshell. The goal is to grant users with limited privileges the right to run the stored procedure but not the rights to directly access either the referenced tables or the extended stored procedure. TIA!

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
