I have a Windows Service written in VB .NET which
connects to an Exchange Server and accesses the messages
in the Public Folders. I am using Collaborative Data
Objects to do this. When I run the service, I get the
following error...

Hi all,
I have no knowledge of Exchange server, and have always used CDO to send
emails from ASP in the past. My problem now is that the server in question
doesn't have SMTP installed alongside IIS, it has Exchange installed which
apparantly does have SMTP capabilities but not like the default ones
normally accessbile via IIS.
Has anyone ever used this approach to sending emails? I'm hoping that I
dont need a component or anything...

I 'm working with a company that decided to install a new dbms and
environment (DB2 on AIX). Most of the talent here is mainframe
oriented. When the deision was made as to which distributed database
tools to go with in Unix, folks here went with a vendor that is well
accomplished on the mainframe, but whose distributed database tools are
horrendous.
I don't want to name the tool vendor but will say they have 3 letters
in their name....

Hello,
I am trying to create a class to send email via POP3 or Exchange.
Everything works fine when sending via POP3 but fails when sending via
exchange.
Error: Could not access 'CDO.Message' object.
The following code works fine in a VB.Net test app but fails on the web.
Does anyone have an idea why??

Hi. I need to add appointments in Exchange Server 2003 calendar from a
ASP.NET application. I've been searching and in the MSDN there are two
articles with samples of doing it with CDOEX and WebDAV. It's the first time
I deal with this and I can't make them work.
When trying the first sample, I can't find a library: Microsoft CDO for
Exchange 2000 Library
In the second sample I get an error: The remote server returned an error:

I think I've confused myself completely here :-)
I have used System.Web.Mail, but am not sure if this works with Exchange Server 5.5. I asked the client if they're email server supported SMTP, and got the following reply (exact quote):
Exchange 5.5 uses IMS connector for communication between the internal and the external world. IMS is based on SMTP Protocol.
For mail flow within the organization Exchange 5.5 uses Message Transfer...

I want to write an outlook plug-in or even a separate app if necessary to
connect to an exchange server to get mail off of it. My outlook is
currently connected to Exchange server A, I need to get mail from Exchange
server B and put it on Exchange server A. I'm tired of using multiple
Outlook profiles. How do I connect to an exchange server programmatically
and get mail? I'd like to do it as a plug in, but if it needs to be a
separate...

Hi,
I have a number of customers whose DB2E databases have become corrupted
in the field. I am still trying to find out what they were doing when
this happened. Anyway this is DB2E v8.2 on the Win CE platform. Does
anyone make or sell a recovery tool that will allow use to try to save
customers lost data?
My preliminary investigation seems to indicate the system tables are
messed up. Anyway I can't run any SQLExecDirect calls on the...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
