Getting an Application into the Market

108 New Member
Hi All,
I have some ideas for database applications that I would like to somehow market. Most of my work has been done in MS Access 2010. A few of my applications that I have made could potentially be used by a lot of people, such as a financial forecasting and accounting tool, a construction database for service contractors, and a general contracting database among others. Is there a way to market a database that is built inside another platform (such as MS Access) and sell it on the open market, or does it have to be in its own standalone application? Also, are there companies out there that can help produce an idea into a commercially marketable application?
Thanks in Advance,
Gary

Hi, I try to make an about form and put it in my own namespace/class. It works but if I want to display eg application name, it does not. It display name of the calss where the aboutbox is in (not the calling application). What do I wrong ? This is what I call: AppName.Text = System.Reflection.Assembly.GetExecutingAssembly().GetName().Name.ToString();

I am trying to figure out how to get the UserID from aspnet_Users in my vb.net code after the user logs in. I have code that's pretty much working except for one thing. I need the value of the ApplicationID. I tried HostingEnvironment.ApplicationID but that returns something like this: '/LM/w3svc/1/ROOT/Website1'" but I need the GUID that's in the ApplicationID column in the table aspnet_Applications. Is there a way to get that without...

You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
