changing font properties

hello i am looking at changing the properties of a select line of output when a certain objective is true. i have built a menu type of area that holds information and when the information gets too large i would liek it to get smaller as to not distort my menu area's bondaries. i am useing dev-c++ to create my program on windows vista and XP.
