C++ compilation error

Hello,

I am starting with the c++ programming. I tried to make a program that will create histograms and fill them using a root file that I open.

When I compile I obtain an error message that I don't know how to solve:

/usr/lib/crt1.o(.text+0x18): In function `_start':
: undefined reference to `main'
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
gmake: *** [pmcsFillHistos] Error 1

Can some one advice me in what this message means?

You don't have a main in your source code or the file it is in is either not compiled or not linked into the program. The entry point for a C/C++ program is

{
// code here
}
