error during nesting of structures

i was writing a program for the application of stacks..in which i had to use nested structures.....precisely speaking it was like this...
struct car
{
int license,s,e;
}
typedef struct car *node;
struct garage
{
node c;
int top;
}g;

and i passed the argument as &g while calling the function...and the prototype included *pg as their argument........
now during the program i needed to refer to fields of structure car.....
so during the course of program i had to write several commands like these....
pg->(c+pg->top)->license=x;
or the same errror is coming for this
pg->(*(c+(pg->top))->license)=x
but for such statements an error is coming in TC++ software that
"member identifier expected"
what shall i do to remove this error.....please reply fast....

or

pg->c[pg->top].license=x;


But be good and sure that there is memory allocated at that location.
