Reading Running Process

Hey There,
I am trying to read the memory of the text region of a running
process. I can open a process and read the data in the process using
OpenProcess and ReadProcessMemory. I'm not sure however how to detect
which data I am getting corresponds to the "text region" and not the
other regions, like the stack. Does the type "MEM_IMAGE" defined in the
"Type" parameter of the MEMORY_BASIC_INFORMATION structure define the
read in memory block as part of the "text region"? Any insights would
be greatly appreciated.

Your post appears to be off topic in this news group. Here we only talk
about standard language issues. You seem to be talking about some
particular OS and how to obtain memory arangement specific stuff.
While some of us here may know that, we don't know how to do it
in standard C++.

You will get better help if you find a news group that is on topic for
your post. You could start by doing a search at groups.google.com
to find that news group. Most probably you will find a group that
has in its name your compiler or operating system. Possibly if
you start with the search you can find the info has already been
posted by somebody else.
